Anatomy of an Outfit
One of the first things most of us do to truly begin our day is to get dressed. What do we wear to go forth into the world and live our lives? When my son was in preschool they had to “Dress Mr. Frog” for the day. This required the group of 3 year olds to consider the weather and elements to make sure Mr. Frog wasn’t too cold or too hot or too wet, or heaven forbid too naked for his day ahead.
Many of my clients stress over this rudimentary decision each morning, often perplexed at what to wear for the day. Some say they have too many clothes and yet nothing to wear. Others tell me they just keep wearing the same few outfits repeatedly and want to bring more creativity into their everyday.
The first thing I like to consider is the wether and my agenda for the day. I usually start the day in workout gear, drop off the kids and bring a change of clothes to the gym. Am I meeting with clients or running errands? Will I be able to come home to change before my son’s soccer practice?
