"Being well dressed hasn't much to do with having good clothes. It’s a question of good balance and good common sense." —Oscar de la Renta
From a young age, I had a keen interest in art and style. I loved to draw and paint. I was a daydreamer. Around middle school is when this love of art started to translate into the way I dressed. For me, style was about self-expression and being true to myself. It was fun and frivolous, sure, but for me it was also about balance and practicality. Over the years I learned to dress for real life while putting my own twist on it. I learned to dress for my personality and body type and work with proportions, patterns and fabrics.
I believe anything worth doing in life is worth doing well. And for most of us, the first thing we do is get dressed. Why not do it better?
